It crept up from the shadows and caught us unaware but the halfway point is nearly upon the team. I don't know whether they'd count themselves as optimists or pessimists but I'm taking this to be a case of the glass half full. Here's Reena's take in English and in Hindi...

Reena's PodCast in writing:
"Hello. Reena from the Kaspersky Lab Commonwealth Expedition. Greetings from Antarctica for everyone. Just to let you know that we keep on getting your messages. But are unable to reply to the messages because we don't have a laptop or a computer on us, nor do we have internet access. We get your messages like twice in a week. Kind courtesy of Tim (UK Support) who rings us up on the satellite phone and let's us know them.
So we come to know what are the messages and that makes us feel really good and boosts our energy levels. But I'm sorry to say, on behalf of all of us, that we cannot reply to all those messages individually. But definitely once I come back to India I will try to reply these messages.
The good thing today, like one big accomplishment for us is that we reached about half way. So we've covered about 460 km, and we've got another 460 km to go, and although we've gone this half way, you know, we still have to be always vigilant and take care of ourselves and our feet and hands and face. And also we have to keep on eating food, you know, lots of food. 4000 to 5000 calories so that we get the energy to be skiing for 9 to 10 hours daily.
Sometimes we're not hungry, sometimes we, but we still force feed ourselves because we have to reach the South Pole now, and that's a long and we've got another 19 days to do that. So well, I mean there are some slight feet issues you know, but nothing big. I have also some pain in the right foot below the ankle. But you know, it's alright and I'm taking painkillers. The moral is high and people are still like: "No problems". We just keep on going and every day we move closer to our goal.
So also today I miss everybody. My friends and everybody at home and well-wishes. I will speak to you again next week. Untill then, bye bye and take care."
