Expedition Equipment Arrives!
Over the last couple of days the expedition has been busy gathering together all the clothing and equipment it will need for the journey to the South Pole. The team will be departing for Antarctica from Punta Arenas in Chile. Therefore, all the expedition equipment has to be packed up and freighted to Chile ready for the team's arrival.
Every piece of equipment from jackets to stoves to sledges has to be checked for weight and reliability. With 8 women living in a very small space for a very long time with identical kit, everything is colour coded so that each woman knows which bowl / spork / bottle belongs to them!
