Atkins. The Glycemic Index. That weird "cabbage diet" people always talk about. There are a lot of crazy diet plans out there but I think this one takes the low-calorie biscuit. Admittedly, it may be an unavoidable consequence of skiing for 8 hours a day in temperatures well below zero but, nevertheless, Era (Brunei) wants you to guess how much weight she'll lose by the time she reaches the Pole. Hear it from her in today's PodCast.

Era's PodCast in writing:
"Hi everyone it's Era here, just to tell you about the contest that I posted on Twitter. If you don't know about it you can look it up.
It's the EWLC which stands for Era's Weight Loss Contest. It's a contest about how much weight you think I'm going to lose on this expedition. I need the guesses to nearest 0.1 kilo, you send your name and your contact details to info@commonwealthexpedition.com.
Some details which might help you guess accurately how much weight I lose are:
- My pre-expedition weight was 57.9kg
- I'm 26 years old
- My height is about 153 centimeters which is about 5 feet
- We're eating about 4300 to 4500 calories We're skiing about 7 and a half to 9 hours a day (It depends whether were doing 5 or 6 legs but you can look that up on Twitter)
- For breakfast I'm eating Power Porridge - 60 grams of that if you want to know how many calories that is you can click on the link from the website. That, together with 10 grams of powdered milk and 10 grams of sugar.
- I'm also drinking hot chocolate for breakfast which is about 120 calories. High-5 protein drink. Calories for that is also on the link from the website and another carbohydrate drink which is about 375 calories.
If you need anymore info on that you can ask me a question. Leave it on the leave a comments page and I'll get back to the you as soon as I can.
Another thing, I would like to say is "Happy Birthday" to my brother. He's 25 years old. His birthday is today, 15th December 2009. I love you my only brother and also in 5 days I'm going to celebrate my 1 year 8 month wedding anniversary. So, in advance, since I won't be on this call, I want to say "Happy Wedding Anniversary" to my husband. That's it..."
