Reena's PodCast in writing:
"Hello. Reena from Kaspersky Lab Commonwealth Antarctic Expedition. First of all I'd like to thank our well-wishers for their good wishes because I'm sure it is their good wishes that has given us good weather to go by.
We are hiking daily for 8 hours and making good progress. The distance that we go each day is increasing gradually and gradually. Today we were down to our thermals, our Chocolate Fish thermals, which are keeping us warm and cozy inspite of the cold of Antarctica.
It's pretty flat over here but towards the last 3 hours of our skiing we had to cross some sastrugi - sastrugi is raised bits of snow which form due to wind blowing over it. That was a little challenging but it was good. I still am amazed by the 24 hours of sunlight. In Antarctica, wherever you look, from all angles, it's flat-flat-flat and there's endless horizon. Just remarkable beauty. Just loving being here, I think I feel very privileged that I'm on this expedition and to be in Antarctica. And skiing is really an amazing experience.
Our morale-meter is 7. I think some girls have got some blisters on their feet so about 7 out of 10. That's all from us. Have a nice day! "
